Talented
My mother was amazingly talented. I can picture her hands perfectly, probably because I loved to hold them. I use to hold her pinky as we walked through parking lots or wherever we happened to be, even now I would have still done it.
Those hands of hers, they were amazing! A little wrinkled but probably only from lots of years amazing use. She could sew, knit, crochet, draw, quilt, make pottery, shoot a gun, and of course give the best hugs ever! She was also into healing, such as Reiki so those were healing hands too!
When I say she could do all of those things, I don't just mean...oh, yeah it was a hobby of hers.. I mean she could DO THEM. She was a MASTER at almost everything she did. Making lace shawls takes lots of knitting talent and also making very detailed socks. I don't think anyone ever really wore the socks...maybe she did, but they were pretty!
My mother always would blather about how she couldn't draw as well, but she really REALLY could! She just didn't draw much anymore, which maybe that was why she said it. Her quilts were all rather pretty as well! I just don't have the patients for such things.
I love drawing but I like to say I am a speed artist, everything I do I do very fast.
A lot of my clothes when I was kid were also made by her. I loved those the most and we still have them stored away somewhere. One of the most amazing things she made me was one of my prom dresses. She HATED doing it, maybe because I am picky and she had to make a corset which aren't easy but she still did it! It was the most amazing thing too. I designed it and she sewed it. Dark purple and black but it is to hard for me to describe. I wish I could. It was beautiful and of course no one in the entire world had my dress. Even my boyfriend at the time couldn't get over it, that was his favorite prom dress of mine.
In middle school she also helped out with costumes in my drama class. Pretty awesome. My mom was just so loving and would do the most amazing things for me.
My whole family is creative but my mother certainly had the largest variety in her talents. I will treasure everything she left me. <3

Best Friend
I can't even start to type with out getting teary eyed. Honestly, even if it is a happy thing...when I talk about my mom I just start to cry. I miss her a lot.
Anyways, I kinda just felt like talking about a little something. My mom was my BEST friend. Now, I have a best friend who is like my sister but my mom...my mom I could tell everything too. She was good mom and a good friend, what all parents need to learn I think. You need to be a friend but STILL be a parent and my mom had that down. I could tell her anything, ANYTHING and she would just talk to me like a normal human being. Never did she talk down to me. Of course she did have a small problem of always thinking she was right. Hehe.
Now that I have lost my 'tell all' person, it can be hard sometimes. I dunno who to tell stuff too. My grandma (whom I live with) is NOT someone I like telling stuff to. She just doesn't react how I am use to and her answers are always opposite of what my mom probably would have said. Then my dad...my dad is a little clueless in some areas and treats me like I am a two year old.
SO, it is kinda hard. Oddly enough my sister bestie (not real sister) is someone that I don't tell everything to. We kinda keep some things private. It is just how we are I suppose. We could share if we really wanted to and the other wouldn't mind at all but...eeeeh. We are the same age and can't always help each other, ya know?
What do I do then? I kinda just talk to the air..or think of how my momma might have responded. She taught me good, I will tell you that. I know I am a strong person because I have handled this well. I break sometimes...and when I am sad I normally talk to my friend Jack. He is kinda my...cheere-upper and ALWAYS texts back (Bestie works a lot).
Mom, I thank you for being so amazing. Even now I feel like I have conversations with you. There are things I want to tell you and want your help with but now I just need to learn to figure out on my own. Will only make me tougher. I think...I might just end up failing a lot! Hahaha xD
Anyways, Love you momma! Miss you!
