Typical winter stuff. It depends on the parts of Japan but they do get snow. Also, they don't heat their entire houses so it will be cold insides as well. Remember this. So sweaters are very handy as well as long johns that you just wear under your pants. Thermals are great! It can get humid in Japan. I'm sure not all areas are the same but still, it gets pretty humid from what I have heard.
I will be there when it's nice and hot and I know it will be humid where I will be. I am NOT looking forward to it. So, I am trying to think of what clothes would be best. Humidity REALLY makes you sweat. I have always lived in dry heat and when I go to humid weather I feel nasty. Sweat drips down my back and just...ew..ew. It's gross. So I am trying to think of good clothes.
Anyways, just what I would wear. I like baggy tops and then tight bottoms, it's flattering for me and cute. Plus, I want to be modest. I don't need to go wearing super tight clothes and showin off the girls to all the Japanese people. I rather be modest and keep my top half rather covered but still be nice and cool! I would also avoid any shirt with lace that goes under the arm pit. That will make you sweat and even if YOU don't stink...that lace will smell like B.O. in five minutes. Not worth it. Ew! |
